I have a new Vista machine. My EstateVal seemed to freeze when I send a portfolio for evaluation. Is there anything I can do?
We've found that some of our users are experiencing problems with their EstateVal, on a brand new Vista machine. It looks like the program freezes when sending a portfolio for evaluation. Actually, it is working, but very slowly. Here's a way to make EstateVal menus work faster in Windows Vista.
- Go to Windows "Start" and select "Control Panel".
- In the "Control Panel" window click on "System and Maintenance".
- Now click on "Performance Information and Tools".
- Click on "Adjust visual effects" from the left panel.
- Select "Continue" in the "User Access Control" Dialog to grant permission for this User Action.
- In the "Performance Options" dialog, select the radio option for "Adjust for best performance" and click OK.
Now the EstateVal menus should appear as fast as they do on other Windows' systems.
To revert back to the old settings, just retrace the above steps and select radio option "Let Windows choose what's best for my computer" and click OK.
