The IRS has been using EstateVal, exclusively, to verify estate tax returns since 1996.
Here's how to read the report:
The numbers in the first column are the prices (principal on top, accrual on the bottom) produced by EstateVal and reflect the true value of the portfolio, based on our data. The second column is the values that were reported by you on the return. The third column is the difference between the two. By comparing the values, the IRS can quickly and easily see not only if a filing was over-paid or under-paid, but for which securities the problem exists.
If you have any questions about our methodology or our prices, or if we can be of any assistance to you, please feel free to call our Support Department at (818) 313-6300 or via email at Support.
