If you are a subscriber to EstateWorks’ Estate Settlement System, and the EstateVal/EstateWorks interface eliminates manual entry of asset data between the systems.
First, you’ll need to configure EstateVal to be able to export to EstateWorks. Select Tools → Options → Export and set Type to “EstateWorks” and Path to the folder you’d like to write the file to.
Next, open EstateVal and enter the assets that you need values for, and then run a Date of Death evaluation. When the valuation completes, select File → Export → From EstateVal → Date of Death…, enter the filename you’d like for the data export file, and click Export.
Next, go to estateworks.com and open a case. Select Interfaces → EstateVal Import, and select the file you just exported from EstateVal—it will have a .PRN extension. Finally, click Next and complete the fields requested.
When the import is complete, the assets (with valuation details) will appear under the Asset Tab for the case.
